Which way to Gnod?

At this point, with year-end approaching, I'm still trying to finish up and post my backlog of drafts - or scrap them and move on. (Minus the ongoing series stuff like countdown lists...)

"Tron" by Gnod, from Chaudelande, Volume 1 (2011)

So. Gnod (#5, 2010) has got a new record out. Hadn't heard it yet, but the whole thing's up on YouTube. So at least I can listen to it in the meantime... as can you! "Tron" has been featured in a few of the live recordings posted at Gnod's Soundcloud, which are announced on their Tumblr. Your new favorite(s)!

"Visions of Load" by Gnod, from Chaudelande, Volume 1 (2011)

Side A, Track 2 - because it's on vinyl.

"The Vertical Dead" by Gnod, from Chaudelande, Volume 1 (2011)

The entirely of the 2nd and final side! Epic.

For some reason, the original draft of this post ended up with Robedoor's "Solid State" and Linus Pauling Quartet's "Improvise Now" - odd... Both from the same YouTube user.

I took a couple of days and figured it out. Gnod's side of their split-LP with A Middle Sex (2011) is named like a mash-up of various Faust titles ("Why Don't You Laugh Like Other Children?" [search]), but it actually sounds like an epic old-school Robedoor jam. And that Robedoor jam is one side of a split-7" with Gnod ("A Very Special Request", 2010 [search]).

GNOD live, Hunters Moon Festival, Carrick-On-Shannon, Leitrim, October 2011

And there's the Gnod playing live!
